Symphonic Band Field Trip

PARENTS: Join us Wed. Feb. 8th at 5:00 pm in the Band Room

 

Come learn more about the HMS Symphonic Band trip to Festival Disney April 6-9th.

 

Cost of the trip is $400. A limited number of scholarships will be available based on how fundraising goes.

 

Please post the link to our JW Pepper Band fundraiser on your FaceBook page and share with your friends, family, and co-workers. We appreciate your support. With every purchase made 40% goes directly to the HMS Band.

 

Bring your deposit and your completed  Permission Slip to the meeting this Wednesday. Hard copies of the permission slip will be available at the meeting.

 

Please email janicebarrocas@gmail.com whether your child is a yes/no/maybe so we can begin to get a head count.

 

Payment details. First deposit of 50% must be submitted by Feb. 10th. Our hotel rooming list is due Feb. 20th and the remaining 50% payment per student is due to Mr. White by March 1st to pay for the hotel rooms. Payment in cash or cashier's check can be made to our Band Director, Mr. Derrick White.

 

The festival experience fulfills many of the standards set forth in the National Core Arts Standards. Click here for the specific standards explored through this experience.

 

Our kids will travel on charter buses to Orlando, Florida and compete in the judged live Concert Band category, stay two nights in a hotel, and have the opportunity to enjoy Disney theme parks. Competition, Saturdayevening awards ceremony, and an educational clinic for the students are included in the discounted Festival Disney package ticket.

  1. Submit your permission slip and initial payment
